New to Me: Cleaning Out a Chicken Coop

Whew! I don't know about all of you, but I am definitely ready for Spring to come. I love the cold weather, but I don't love the thick ice that sometimes comes. We are in the middle of an ice storm now. It looks beautiful outside, but it can definitely be dangerous, which is not a great situation to be in.

When we first got this property, I didn't really take much of a look at the coop. I wasn't sure if we would be staying long-term, and honestly, I didn't even know a thing about chickens, other than I liked eggs. And baked chicken. :-|

Let the Adventures Begin! (Plus, An Explanation of my Blog Name)

Hello!

I am so excited about this blog, even more so than my other ones that I've been updating recently (I'll post those links below if anyone is interested).

My husband and I recently moved from the big city of Austin, Texas to a quieter life. A much quieter life. We are in Southeast Missouri, and are currently living on a beautiful 4-acre piece of property. The property has a garden and a chicken coop already built, so I'm going all in this Spring! I'll be working on a garden, but what I'm most excited about is getting chickens at the end of this month!
